My husband & I were married there on February 12,1974. We were just 16 yrs old then. I surprised my husband on our 45th Sapphire Wedding Anniversary. Our 3 sons flew in and stood up with us as we renewed our wedding vows at the very same time of day..Feb 12, 2019 at 1:15 PM. It took a ton of secret planning, making my wedding dress and shipping it ahead. The Wedding planners at the chapel were the absolute best part of the planning. They called, helped, planned ahead of time, got the flowers and photographer and had it all perfect for our big day. They even gave us a precious poster they had made of our first wedding there and framed it with a picture of the chapel and the words..." ...and they lived happily ever after. John & Bettie Russo. 45 years of love. " It was placed on the alter for us. It was the most wonderful gift. I was a bit sad as the first time, my parents were there but are now gone. They were there the last time I entered it, but the doors opened and my husband was waiting. The Bell was ringing, and our boys stood there with my precious husband. The sadness melted and joy overwhelmed us again. It was magical both times. It really is a very magical, special little chapel and you would never believe it was a "Las Vegas Wedding",it was a REAL WEDDING. My husband had no idea until two hours before the wedding. Thank you Little Church of the West, we will never forget you all

I was so hoping this Little Church of the West, where I got married in 1972, would not have allowed impersonator's to destroy it's beautiful dignity. I wonder if someone bought it out from the days it was a special little place. There's a lot of chapels on the strip that do that mockery of Elvis stuff. I never thought I would see this little chapel do that. The real Elvis singing, and without the ridiculous mocking Elvis would have made a pretty wedding. Just makes me sad. I'll never look at it in the same way again, and it was so special.
